Chish N Fips is a traditional fish and chip takeaway, run by Adrienne Ring and her loyal and friendly staff.

Did you know that the first fish and chips were sold by an Italian immigrant, Giuseppe Cervi, who mistakenly stepped off an America-bound ship at Cobh (then called Queenstown) in County Cork in the 1880’s.  We carry on his legacy and we did not need to walk to Dublin.

We are located in the heart of the beautiful fishing village in the heart of Crosshaven

All of our fish comes from local managed sustainable stocks with traceable province.  We prepare our fish on our premises daily.  We only use fresh potatoes, locally sourced, which are peeled and cut daily. All of our meat is sourced from our local butcher and traceable back to the farm.  Our home made food contains no additives or preservatives and all of our breads are from a local Artisan bakery.

Traditional frying uses fat, which we continue to use to this day.  We use a thick cut chip for a lower absorbency of fat. Our batter is a traditional use a simple water and flour batter with a little secret to give it that extra thickness and flavour.
